or "Don't you hate it when...", but in this case I'm actually obliged to do so. Thats
why I'm going to ask it just now: Don't you just hate it when other people share
pictures of their food on Facebook or post a self-shot made in the bathroom mirror
(yes, the one with the camera still in the frame)? Then Pananda is here to save your
day!
Since the introduction of photo-sharing I've been
wondering what people like so much about it. Taking a
picture of something and post it online so every random
person can see it. It just doesn't make any sense. With this
in mind, me and a cousin of mine started thinking of how
to make this photo-sharing actually useful.
"We want you to tag your
interests! "
Somehow we got focused on the 'tagging' part. When
posting a picture, you need to describe that picture in
A few words, so called "tags". The head turning and mind blowing change we thought
off, was using these tags in a different way. We don't want you to tag your photos,
we want you to tag your interests! And that's when Pananda and a unique way of
sharing your photos, was born.
So, what is pananda?
It's a 180-degrees turn from Instagram and other sharing applications. It's an online
platform were you can share your interest by using tags. As a user you can post
a 'challenge', which is a description of your interest using max. 5 tags. If you choose
your tags carefully, you will attract other users to post a picture that's in line with
your challenge. This way we are still sharing our pictures, but now we've really got a
reason to share. You'll only get pictures you like added to your challenge.
>> For those wondering what Pananda means, it means 'tag' in Tagalog. <<
If you think: "Wow! This is awesome" or something a little less enthusiastic but still
loving the idea, this is a possible way of getting involved:
- Go to our website: http://www.pananda.net/
- Register as a user / Or simply login using your Facebook account.
- Share your interests and pictures! And feel free to invite your friends.
- Enjoy photo-sharing, but now in a useful way!
Oh and there's one more thing I would like to add, since I'm Dutch myself:
!!!IT'S FREE TO USE!!!
Thanks for reading,
Dennis Jacobs (co-founder of #Pananda)
